Italic 2.0

We all love details and we know the devil is in them. Italians love the details too and especially when it comes to special spices, fresh ingredients and, i would say, type design. Theres more behind a letter and every single curve has a meaning. Italic 2.0 wants to be a window and then an archive for new - mainly young and groundbreaking - experiences and experimentations in type design, fresh results of calligraphy classes or typographic workshops, student (and not only) works on legibility and the history of the written word.

My name is Marianna and I'm an italian living in the Pacific Northwest.
This new blog wants to spread all around a new image of this unknown contemporary italian graphic design and visual communication, something that is mainly hidden or unknown or maybe just loved by someone who knows that is real and out there but for sure invisible on the worldwide graphic design press and in the design star system. I'll try to post everyday as many links and news as i can about the new italian visual experiences. Trust me, they re alive and sure they're kicking.
